The OMHA Partners with BladeNET for Enhanced Online Hockey Services

Planning Underway to Expand Scope Next Season

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) and BladeNET have successfully integrated BladeNET’s online amateur hockey solution to the OMHA membership through a pilot project with the OMHA’s two AAA leagues for the 2002-03 hockey season.

Members of the amateur hockey community can now view standings, scores, and schedules online at anytime. BladeNET’s robust application provides for immediate updates, so the latest scores, standings, and schedule changes are always available.

“The OMHA pilot project of the BladeNET application proves we are providing the right service” said BladeNET founder Robert Fletcher. BladeNET’s partnership with the OMHA is part of its ongoing commitment to providing an integrated one-stop solution for the amateur hockey community across Canada.
This season’s pilot program features the Eastern AAA League (AAA) and the South Central AAA League (SCTA). The OMHA and BladeNET are already in the planning stages of expanding the scope of this project to include more OMHA leagues next year.

BladeNET Introduces Tournament Scheduling

Makes Easy Work of Any Tournament Schedule

BladeNET introduces a powerful new feature, Tournament Scheduling. Available on a trial basis at no cost to all members of the Amatuer Hockey Community, Tournament Scheduling makes the most complex schedules quick and easy to configure.
Seamlessly integrated into BladeNET's database, Tournament Scheduling lets you add any team to your tournament, including teams in other leagues.

Tournament Scheduling allows you to configure tournaments any way you like. Administrators can choose Round Robin, Head to Head or Championship formats.

But what if your tournament uses more than one format? No problem. Tournament Scheduling lets you use any number or combination of formats to create your tournament schedule.

BladeNET: How We Started

Over a decade ago, one of the founding members of BladeNET, Robert Fletcher, developed a suite of applications to assist the Mississauga Hockey League (MHL) in managing its hundreds of teams.

The success of these applications and the pivotal role they played in more efficiently managing a hockey league caught the attention of key decision makers in the hockey community and other amateur sports.
Upon further reflection, we realized the potential of positioning our applications as the catalyst in developing a Canadian Hockey Knowledge Network that would create a forum for addressing and assisting with key issues in amateur hockey.

In May 1999, BladeNET was founded to develop an Amateur Hockey Knowledge Network, an Internet-driven community of interest that will bring together amateur hockey players in Canada.

Since that time, BladeNET has grown faster and added new partners every year. Working with our partners, BladeNET is committed to building an Internet Hockey Community that meets the needs of amatuer hockey in Canada.
